Jumpseat is a social flight tracking and travel community service, so some information you choose to add or share may be visible to other users depending on the feature and your settings.
We collect the information needed to operate the Service, support community features, secure accounts, improve performance, and communicate with you. If you enable optional features such as location, contact discovery, calendar import, social sign-in, push notifications, or waitlist updates, we may collect and use the information needed to provide those features.
We do not sell your personal data for money. We may share data with service providers that help us run the Service, and with authorities or other parties when required or permitted by law.

1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to personal data we collect when you:
visit our website;
join our waitlist;
create or use a Jumpseat account;
post or share content through Jumpseat;
communicate with us; or
interact with our events, communities, campaigns, surveys, or promotions.

Depending on how you use Jumpseat, we may collect the following categories of personal data.
A. Information you provide directly
This may include:
name or display name;
email address;
username and password or sign-in credentials;
profile details such as photo, bio, home airport, airline or travel preferences, loyalty information you choose to share, and social links;
content you post, including stories, reviews, comments, images, videos, and event participation;
flight and travel information you choose to add or share;
communications you send to us;
survey responses, feedback, and beta testing submissions; and
waitlist information and marketing preferences.
B. Information collected automatically
This may include:
IP address;
device identifiers;
operating system and app version;
browser type and device type;
log data, crash data, diagnostics, and performance data;
app usage information, pages or screens viewed, features used, timestamps, and referring URLs; and
cookie, SDK, and similar technology data.
C. Location information
If you enable location permissions, we may collect precise or approximate location information from your device to support relevant features, such as local discovery, airport context, travel context, event-related functionality, anti-fraud checks, and service personalization.
Depending on how the feature is designed, we may use location information to determine whether you appear to be at or near an airport, venue, or relevant travel context. We may retain limited location-related records where reasonably necessary to provide the feature, improve the Service, or protect against abuse.
You can control location permissions through your device settings. Some features may not work properly if location access is disabled.
D. Information from third parties
We may receive information from:
authentication and social sign-in providers;
analytics providers;
community or messaging platforms;
app stores and payment processors;
marketing and attribution providers;
other users who mention, tag, invite, or connect with you; and
travel, mapping, calendar, contact, or other data providers that support the Service.

calendar event information where you choose to enable calendar import or flight matching features;
contact or identifier information where you choose to find friends, invite others, or sync social features through supported platforms or providers;
push notification tokens to send service-related alerts and updates; and
device-side signals used to match likely flight, airport, or travel activity to the features you request.
Where possible, we aim to collect only the information reasonably necessary for the relevant feature.

Jumpseat includes community and social features. Information you choose to post or share may be visible to other users or, depending on the feature and your settings, may become publicly accessible.
This may include profile details, travel-related posts, reviews, comments, event participation, user connections, and flight-related activity that you choose to share.
Please use care when sharing information. We are not responsible for how other users use information you make available through the Service.
6. Cookies, SDKs, and Similar Technologies
We and our service providers may use cookies, pixels, local storage, software development kits, and similar technologies to:
remember your preferences;
keep you signed in;
understand usage and performance;
detect bugs and security issues;
measure campaigns and referrals; and
support analytics, communications, and advertising.
You may be able to control some of these technologies through your browser, device, or app settings. Blocking certain technologies may affect functionality.
7. Disclosure of Personal Data
We may disclose personal data to:
service providers that host, support, analyze, secure, operate, or improve the Service;
